Fun Party Themes! How to have a party without breaking the bank!

Recently, my daughter asked me to throw her a "Spa" Birthday party.  I hesitantly agreed, since 1) I've never thrown one and 2) I didn't want to spend her college fund on a party.

First - we had to agree on a number of guests.  I allowed for her to invite 7 ( with her that would be 8 ten year old girls).  We also agreed to have it at the house.  This way, I would save on the cost of a spa.  I came up with a budget and a plan!

I decided since this was a custom party, I would make custom invitations.  I have MICROSOFT PUBLISHER, so I made the invitations using that software.  If you have WORD, you can just as easily make these, I just like using PUBLISHER better since it allows me to move pics around and have fun with color.

This is the FRONT

This is the 2nd page

Once I printed them on Card Stock, I used a hole punch and put 2 holes in the top and then tied ribbon through it.

They Turned out really great and the girls (and Mom's) LOVED them.  They were a big hit and generated a LOT of excitement for the party.  100% of the girls invited said they were coming.

Stay tuned for PART 2 - THE DAY OF THE PARTY, which is 2/23!!!  I can't wait!

We are going to have mini desserts, a candy bar and lots of other fun food "spa themed" items.

We are going to have individual stations such as facials, pedis, manis and a make your own lipgloss station!!!!

My budget is $300 for the entire party, including the swag (which is already purchased and just needs to be put together)....I'll put it all on this site - and feel free to copy!

-Wish me luck with all those 10 year old girls!!

x's and o's,
Jen
